While the Colorado Army National Guard is a component of the military, we’re not the equivalent of the Active Duty component of the United States Army. The primary focus of the Colorado Army National Guard is to serve our state and the communities we live in.
We train for and respond to natural disasters, support law enforcement, and contribute to infrastructure projects. Serving the community directly is a core part of what makes the National Guard unique. The best part is that you have the option to enlist either part-time and full-time.
- You get a chance to serve your country through serving your community without putting your life on hold.
- You can pursue your dreams, continue your education, live a civilian life, and still be a part of America’s finest.
- You get enlistment bonuses up to $20,000, tuition assistance, and financial support to pay your student debts.
- Receive a part-time income, healthcare coverage, and retirement benefits while maintaining your civilian career
- Unique training opportunities
- Build confidence, empower others, become a role model, and positive influence within your community
